World Autism Day

April 2nd marks World Autism Day. With Autism being diagnosed at an astonishing rate per minute in the world, this day brings awareness and help to those with Autism; or those with an inkling that their child maybe suffering, with symptoms increasing day by day.

Autism Ontario wants to highlight Autism by bringing awareness and letting parents know they are not alone in their struggle, to help their children get the much needed help and support available.

There is support here in Niagara but there are still issues with mental illness and the stigma it carries. The Niagara region is under funded in the area of children's mental health and it needs your support. Any fundraiser you can support, any volunteer work you can do will directly help the Niagara Chapter.

There are many mental illness fundraising campaigns in the Niagara Region as well. We will be looking at many local charities and support systems for children across the board.

For now enjoy World Autism Day and maybe join them for breakfast at Club Roma tomorrow morning with Z101 on site!
